Group photo was taken by Vicki Dodge, retouched by Mark Dodge, and effected using the Prisma app's Mononoke filter. The aerial photograph of Washington's Skagit valley was taken just before tulip season began in 2015 by Mark, strapped into a Glacier Aviation helicopter with the doors removed. The song "You Say You Love" was inspired by a poem said to have been written by Shakespeare, Bob Marley, or one of several other poets, but is most likely a Turkish folk poem. The song "Won My Love" was written by Mark Dodge, and "Where Are You" was written by Mark & Vicki Dodge. The song "Blues for Christmas" was written by James Clark. The songs "Hurtin'" and "180 Degrees" were written by Morgan Whalen. (Mark and James toured with Morgan back in the 80s.) "Pretty Girl Why" is an antiwar/unrequited love song recorded by the Buffalo Springfield and written by Steven Stills, who also wrote the iconic "For What it's Worth." It doesn't sound much like a protest song, singing "pretty girl, why not love me?" But here's the last verse: "The minstrel boy has gone to war now, burdened with his father's sword; Still she doesn't see how she can give him peace amidst the horde."

Lineup on the CD: Mark Dodge, guitars, vocals; Andy Carr, keys, vocals; James Clark, bass, vocals; Thomas Kemper, drums. Arrangements by Mark and The Fat Fridays; recording, mastering, and design by Mark; CD replication by Oasiscd.com; on-line distribution by CDBaby.com. The aerial photographs of Washington's Skagit valley were taken just before tulip season began in 2015 by Mark, strapped into a Glacier Aviation helicopter with the doors removed. The studio setup evolved over time. There were recording errors on several sessions (such as individual tracks not recording properly). The result is a variety of sonic landscapes; collected here are the best performances, some with errors not heinous enough to warrant disqualification. The track On Your Way Down (written by the late, great Allen Toussaint) was recorded at the first full session, Sept 2014. James plays fretless bass on Comin' Back to Me. Guitar was overdubbed on Here Comes the Big Parade and Up the Line. Here Comes the Big Parade was recorded as a trio with Andy, Thomas, and Mark on fretless bass. All other songs were tracked as a four-piece with Mark on guitar and James on bass. Lead vocals were were overdubbed on all tracks, except: P.S. I Love You, presented as recorded, live in the studio. Who’ll Be the Next in Line, also recorded live, and also: Is the very first studio take of the song, up to the end of the first three-part vocal harmony break; the rest of the song is the last take (of 3). Was recorded at the last full session, in January of 2016 Is missing a track (can you guess which?)
